Per QSS 007-009, all TI product is identified per below. This is a specific requirement. The only exceptions would be where a customer specifically requires something different. Obviously, when a customer requests something "different" the device then becomes a "special". For ALL TI and Subcon assembly sites, the following lot trace code shall be used. 1. For military product the LTC format shall be a 6-character "YYWWAB" where "YYWW" = "Year-Year-Week-Week" of the device encapsulation (seal) date and "AB"= unique lot trace suffix for each assembly lot (per device name) in the same "YYWW". 2. For non-military product the LTC format shall be a 7-character "YMLLLLS". The "YM" = "Year-Month" of the assembly lot start date. January thru September shall be represented by numbers 1 thru 9, and October thru December shall be represented by the letters A, B, and C. The "LLLL" = unique alpha-numeric Lot Code, minus vowels A,E,I,O, and U. For a non-SMS source code the first "L" position shall be the letter "Z"). The "S" = TI assigned assembly site code. Note: When the size of the marking surface is too small to accept a full "LTC" mark the responsible business entity will determine the abbreviated code to be used. However, for the purposes of listing the LTC's combined into a ship lot on the 2D label, the full LTC (YMXLLLS format) shall be used. Another method is to split the 7 digits up into two lines. In this case, if it were split by the first 3 on the top line or the first four on the top line, the lot code would get split in half: YML/LLLS or YMLL/LLS Neither of these makes much sense.
